HAPPY NEW YEAR

The end of 2016 has been a happy and busy one for me. I am now qualified as an Accredited IMDT Dog Trainer and have a Level III Accredited Certification in the Principlesof Dog Training and Behaviour from the Open College Network.

I am very proud to be part of the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers and have lots of plans for 2017 so watch this space .

I have also had the privilege to work with the staff and dogs at St Francis Dog shelter in Newquay . Its great to be back and love the new manager Emma Pannell

My TTouch workshops begin in February and I am also looking forward to teaming up with Rachel Watkins and Pauline Jackson in the summer.

See NEW WORKSHOPS FOR 2017 for further information.

As always I am available for 1-2-1 training and TTouch sessions and look forward to meeting new people and new dogs in 2017

Any questions or if you would like to learn more then please get in touch

Welcome to “Come to Heal”. My name is Shona Moon. I have enjoyed a life long love affair with that marvellous creature that is the dog.

Working with rescue dogs first got me interested in dog behaviour. I went to Obedience Classes where traditional methods of dog training were used. I felt uncomfortable – So I decided to learn more and studied and gained a Certificate of Advanced Canine Communication.

Star and me

The major turning point for me has been discovering , learning  and working with the amazing technique of Tellington TTouch and qualifying as a dog trainer with the IMDT

TTouch is a wonderful practical way in which everyone can help their dog relax and improve their mental physical and emotional well being  ~ in short you enable your dog to be the best that they can be.

I also regularly update my knowledge by attending seminars workshops and courses in dog behaviour and assist at TTouch trainings  with my TTouch instructors Robyn Hood Sarah Fisher & Marie Miller. I am currently undergoing a mentorship with  the founder of IMDT Steve Mann.

In 2013 my dog Barney Moon and I attended a wonderful Scent workshop with Nando Brown~ this got us both hooked on Scentwork.

In 2014 I  attended workshops with Pauline Jackson and qualified in Animal Communication with Maureen Rolls.

I do one to one consultations in TTouch dog training and behaviour in the comfort and security of your home as well as outside socialisation with my dogs Barney Moon and Star.

I also run TTouch workshops throughout the year ~ see News and Events.

If you belong to a training club, veterinary surgery or shelter I am available for TTouch talks and workshops.

It takes a lot of courage to ask for help with your dog. My emphasis is on working with you and your dog.

My aim is to provide a holistic way in which to work and communicate with your dog.
There is no force or shouting ~I work with your dog’s nature and freewill.

I work closely with my local branch of The Labrador Rescue Trust.

Currently I have two Yellow Labradors Barney Moon who is six years old and Star who has just turned two. Barney Moon has been with me for nearly four years~ I met him through my work with Labrador Rescue. He is an Old Soul in so many ways and is also my work buddy helping dogs to relax and overcome their fears.

Star lives up to his name and is rock solid and an important part of my team as well as being a joy to train

Lyra and Seamus my dogs who have now crossed the rainbow bridge have all helped me to do what I do today ~ please see their stories in TRIBUTES

Provided you are prepared to be consistent and work with me and your dog you will see results,

So…if you feel something is missing with you and your dog give me a call …
Come and share the magic and enjoy time with your dog. Training is fun!
